During my 2000 FSNEP in Washington, D.C., many people walked out of a Puerto Rican deconstruction of Romeo and Juliet because, at a certain point in the play, a corpulent woman bared her breasts for comedic purposes.

Walking out of a play or discontinuing your reading of a novel is like viewing only one detail of a painting. You are then not in a position to critique it.
