"Lalabas ako mamaya" is an island term I frequently hear. It means that someone is going off the island via ferry boat and spending the night on furlough in Olongapo, Zambales, Pampanga, or Bataan, and coming back the next morning.

I suppose it keeps people sane, since they are not as sedentary as I am.
