I cannot understand why artists still like dashing off their paintings as though they are always in a hurry.
The only explanations I can think of are:
--They are stuck with an "on-the-spot-competition" mentality.
--They believe that speed creates great art.
--They suspect that their brushes and their paint have minds of their own.
--They had reckless teachers.
--Their habit is to commence work at the last minute and then try to beat a deadline.
--They are too lazy to take care.
