Whenever I knit in public (and I often do), women stop, converse with me about knitting and crochet, and ask what I am making. They then request to touch my work, and they do so for a long time.

I suppose, for women, touching makes my work reality.

The only other explanation is that it is their way of deriving energy from my work.
